Well, you'd think with only 5 weeks to go things would seem more real than ever, but to be honest everything is more surreal than its ever been. I mean, how often is it that I sit watching G.I Jane with a pear cider by myself on a Saturday night?.....Exactly.
Trip wise, pre-preparation is going well and things are slowly and surely getting ticked off the list. Things are falling into place nicely and my travel route as it currently stands goes something like this - Los Angeles, San Francisco, Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia. Seeing that typed out in front of me as just increased the surrealism levels once again. Or maybe that's the pear cider taking effect.
I had a great day today walking around London and taking photographs with Michelle (my housemate and very good friend) and thought that although i'm ready for this experience, I'll miss my friends and our good times so much. I'll definitely be squeezing a good few nights out into the next few weekends. :)
Our flight to LA is on May 24th so I guess i'll see you on the other side.............(in 5 weeks).............(which is actually quite a long time).......oh god, who am i kidding.
